Recently my embroidery machine showed an error and thread got stuck in the bobbin area. I called a technician, and instead of opening everything properly, he just sprayed WD-40 into the bobbin area. Within a few minutes, the machine started working perfectly again.
He told me I can use that spray every 15 days for cleaning and maintenance. Honestly, it worked really well—it cleaned the area quickly and effortlessly.
But when I looked it up online, I saw advice saying not to spray this products inside machines because it can cause damage over time (like removing oil, attracting dust, etc.). Now I’m confused.
Should I follow the technician’s advice and keep using the spray regularly, or stick to manual cleaning (brush + oil)? Has anyone else tried this method long-term?
