Currently unemployed and struggling to find something

I (25F) have been unemployed for roughly 8 weeks now and have been looking into a different career path than what I have experience in. For the last 7 years, I’ve been working in warehouses on production and have been cross trained in both inbound and outbound sections but unfortunately, I just don’t see myself staying in it. First of all, the work is physical so it’s very tiring, long hours on your feet and I feel as if my days off are spent ‘recovering’ from work instead enjoying life outside of work. I know I’m young at 25, but I don’t see myself sticking to this career, especially as a woman- I want to have kids and work throughout pregnancy and I can’t imagine doing that it a warehouse.

So I’ve applied for an office role that doesn’t require experience. It’s a call centre job, it’s a permanent position with full time hours, monday to friday, and possibility to work from home in the future. Thing is, I have a connection with someone who works at that company who could help me secure a job and there is also a position advertised on the company site. Based on the advertisement, it’s looking like the role I’m applying for pays better and has more benefits compared to the role I could have secured by my connection. I’m looking for advice on whether I should ask my friend for help and take any role available or take my chances with role with I’ve already applied with.

Edited to add that I live in Australia btw
