Hi I could really use your help. my cat and I were about to go to sleep when suddenly he spotted something beside him, which turned out to be this little bug. it’s a tiny bit bigger and rounder than a sesame seed, and the head looks slightly lighter than the body which is a dark brown.
Is it a tick and does it look like it’s already fed? ChatGPT is convinced it’s a tick but I’m hoping it’s wrong. I’m freaking out that it may have already latched onto my cat. We live in Montreal if that helps identify species.
