I became Australian 2 days ago and want to apply for my passport asap because I am travelling in a couple of weeks. When entering my citizenship certificate details online, I get a message saying that the system is unable to validate the document. I am wondering if this is because it hasn't yet been 10 days following the ceremony, meaning DVS hasn't yet received my details. I do have the option to press on "Next" and continue with the application, but I am wondering what other people who experienced the same issue did. Did you continue with the online application and it all worked out, or is it best to print the form and fill out manually? I am reluctant to wait the 10 full days due to my timeline and also because I understand from having spoken with staff members at the passport office that I don't need to wait 10 days to apply as long as I have some proof of my Australian citizenship acquisition.
