It is time to graduate my toddler to a big kid bed. I am weighing the pros and cons of getting a twin size bed like their sibling or getting a full-size bed instead. Currently, we do not have a guestroom, but we have a very comfortable (truly!) king size pullout couch in the basement family room. I know a full-size bed is not going to be as big as the pullout couch, but it does give more privacy if we were to have guest stay with us. A queen bed is unfortunately going to be too big for my toddlers’s room. The second thought I have is that we might move in a few years to a larger house, and perhaps a full bed would offer us some more flexibility in the future, but at that point, maybe we would want a queen size bed instead for a dedicated guest room? Is the full bed going to be worth it? It takes up more floor space in an already small room. Would our kids want the larger bed in the future? Asking for answers from moms and dads who have older children.
