Curious to hear how others manage this/what the approach is at other hospitals.
I had a bit of a rough and rocky start with my initial hospital and clinic appointments. I felt really rushed and very confused and it left me feeling really scared about the remainder of my pregnancy.
As things have gone on, I finally feel a little bit more grounded as clinic appointments are fairly routine, but I’m still struck by how little I know about who I’m seeing, why, and what my takeaway from the visit is.
I think the future of the HSE app is that everyone in Ireland will have a digital health record that is accessible by them and every clinician you see within the HSE, and what they have with the appointment records is a great start, but there’s obviously a long way to go.
Really curious as to if others feel the same and if you’ve done anything to push for clarity as a matter of routine. Do any of you keep track of the names of the clinicians you see? Have you ever asked for a copy of your blood results? Do you have a copy of your vaccination record?
