8 months post-op

I had pelvic organ prolapse for about 20 years following the birth of my second child. I tried biofeedback, pelvic floor therapy, and pessary. In the past several years I’ve had functional rectal problems which really affected my quality of life. I had a lot of health anxiety because of this. I decided to move forward with a full hysterectomy (uterine prolapse) and pelvic repairs, including anterior and posterior repairs done vaginally. Once in surgery it was found I also had enterocele, which was also repaired. It was a rough recovery. I spent 8 weeks flat on my back. I wasn’t back to fairly normal for 6 months. I just recently resumed being able to have sex (waited 6 months with cuff) Was it worth it? Yes. Was it difficult? Yes. Feel free to ask me anything you’re wondering about!
