Tracking Galaxy Watch 8 location
Hey!
I recently got Galaxy Watch 8 (with eSIM) for my 9 year daughter to use, as I would not want to give her a mobile phone yet. First I thought I could've used my own phone to set the watch up but it turned out to be almost impossible to set it up so it would separate the watch from my phone (ie. my contacts and accounts synced to phone). In the end I gave up and I bought a cheap and used Galaxy phone to set the watch properly up with correct accounts and contacts.
As I solved this problem, I realized that the watch's google location sharing does not seem to work without the cellphone. I tried to use Samsung's smartfind but the location update frequency seems very slow and doesn't seem trustworthy.
Has anyone gotten the Google's location sharing working properly or found out another way to track the watch in real time (without the paired phone)?
