50th present idea?

So my partners 50th is coming up near the end of the year. She's always been the main earner out of the two of us, like I have never earnt her money and probably never will.

I always try to get her nice things with the money I have but often I find myself trying to overspend even though our wages don't match. She's not a materialistic person, far from it really but I'm always trying to overcompensate.

Anyway that's a bit of background, anyway I figure I'll have about £1500 to spend once her birthday is here and I need some ideas for something nice.

She wanted a cruise to see the Northern Lights but even that seems out of my remit. I thought about a nice meal for her and family, some friends and a weekend to Paris but it doesn't seem enough for a 50th. I thought about getting a loan to do something but I'm already borrowing and I don't think she'd appreciate me getting into debt over her birthday.

I maybe need some perspective as this has been weighing on me for the last year. I've also lost my father a year ago so have been dealing with that and she has been so incredibly supportive, helping with sorting bills, house sale etc. I just really want to show my gratitude to her.

I know she wouldn't like me stressing but she's also looking forward to her 50th and I want to make it right.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.🫶
