I have an Xbox Series X (manufactured in 2022), and overall it works perfectly fine. However, I’ve recently run into a strange issue.
Over the past year, I’ve barely used the console. Recently, I lent it to a friend for a while. It was carefully transported in its original box, and there was no physical damage at all.
When it arrived at his place, the console powered on, but the controller was unable to start the Xbox.
Before that, everything had been working flawlessly. After I got it back, I tested it again: in about 80% of cases, the console starts normally using the controller, but in around 20% of cases, it simply doesn’t respond when trying to power it on with the controller.
Does anyone know what could be causing this issue?
Is there any way to fix it?
