I'm looking for a city builder game focused on industrial era ; basically from late XVIIIth to early XXth century. What I'm seeking is the "Hausmanian/Gründerzeit Pride" vibe ; controling a rapidly expanding industrial city with the highest ambition in terms of architectural refinement and monumentalism.

I already played Anno 1800 and, while it's indeed an artistic masterpiece, it lacks of a feeling of being properly involved on the ground, as the island as a whole is the main scale that matters. I also remember a game where you play as a political dynasty somewhere in the late Austrian-Hugarian Empire with some political simulation, but I can't remember the name.
