I came across this house on youtube and decided to give them a try because I've been looking for good Indian houses to use. We have all the raw materials, we should be able to craft beautiful scents. This house seemed to make oils in house and so, I was intrigued. I really wanted to like this house but unfortunately, I mostly did not.
The scents smelled weak and a bit messy initially so I let it sit for 30 days. I contacted India Perfumers and they told me to leave it for 2 weeks but I wanted to give them the best shot. The notes seem like they've become friends now and longevity has improved a little.
Testing was done on paper strips. Projection was based on how far my nose was from the strip to smell the perfume strongly. Longevity was based on how strong the scent was after sitting 9 hours in an AC environment.
🥷1. Adventure : Apparently inspired by Aventus but there is barely any resemblance. Opens with a juicy lime which transitions into a slightly earthy lemongrass kinda scent. Stays light though. Scent : 6/10. Projection : 3/10. Longevity : 4.5/10.
🥷2. Fresh Agar : Supposed clone of Oud Wood, haven't smelled the OG so can't comment. Old wooden cupboard with some woody herbal sweetness, smells like mukhwas and miswak combo. Scent : 4/10 Projection 4.5/10. Longevity : 6.5/10.
🥷3. Forest Vetiver : Supposed clone of Guerlain Vetiver, haven't smelled the OG so can't comment. Airy, fresh vetiver with some citrus. Smells very similar to TDH edt but with less sharpness and strength. Scent : 8/10 : Projection 4/10. Longevity : 5.5/10.
🥷4. Snow Mountain Water. : Citruses, white florals, musk and a slight metallic note that anchors it. Silver mountain water DNA but in between CDN Sillage and Afnan Supremacy in Heaven. Closer to Afnan because of the floral notes. Scent : 8/10. Projection : 3/10. Longevity 3/10.
🥷5. Ultra Blue : Very nice take on BDC DNA, has more depth than Blue by Ahmed but not as thick as iconic. Closer to Haramain amber oud bleu. Has the incense sandalwood combo which is great.
Unfortunately my bottle leaked since then and now there's a note that smells kinda off towards the dry down, do not remember it being there before so hard to review now. Scent : 8/10, Projection : 4/10. Longevity : 6/10.
🥷6. Citrus Wood : Juicy citrus with a slightly sweet wood. Cinnamon wood esque kinda sweetness but much lighter. Scent 6.5/10. Projection : 4/10. Longevity : 4/10.
🥷7. Aqua Forte : Smells like strong water as the name suggests. Has an odd deo like note that's difficult to describe but very pungent. Feels a bit synthetic because of it. Silverer silver mountain water.Scent : 3/10. Projection : 5/10. Longevity : 4/10.
🥷8. Neroli Aqua : Really nice soft jasmine white floral scent with maybe a slight aquatic touch but all I really smell are white florals.Scent : 7/10. Projection: 3/10. Longevity : 3/10.
🥷9. Kashmir Vally : Very similar to Blu Oud with a softer presence and far less oud. Has the same combination of fresh fruity sweetness contrasted with dark leather here with a touch of oud. Sweeter and less refined than blu oud imo. Not a bad scent, just redundant for me. Scent : 6.5/10. Projection : 6/10. Longevity : 6/10.
Truthfully the scents mostly smelled natural, like things I've smelled in real life in a good grounding way. Unfortunately, the lack of refinement and performance make it a rough deal at the prices they charge. Forest vetiver and Kashmir Valley are decent offerings tho.
