Older Gen Z/Millennials - help me out
Now I’m a nostalgic girly, and I remember that when I was younger, there were seemingly so many non-screen things to occupy my time. But when I look up adult hobbies these days, all the same things get suggested (exercise, learn an instrument, learn a language, do pilates etc) and it’s not that I don’t enjoy doing these things… but it seems like all self improvement stuff or stuff that you have to commit to. It’s good don’t get me wrong but sometimes you just need to switch off and let your mind play.
Where are all the time-wasting, no thought, nothing hobbies that we used to do just because it was a bit of old dumb fun? Like cutting things out of magazines etc (only one I can think of rn) I know there were lots in the 2000s that died out but I cannot remember what they were.
If you guys can remember any creative/fun activities you did as teens (or even still do as adults) that are accessible, hands-on or don’t involve looking at a screen, pleeeassee tell me.
Thanks 🌸
