I’ll be coming back to London in a few weeks and am looking for a special place to stay for 3 nights. Some amenities I am looking for:
- air con (This is a requirement - I’m a middle-aged gal. IYKYK)
- breakfast in house, with eggs, not just continental
- a bathtub in room or a spa with jacuzzi
- and an outdoor space of some sort, either a balcony or a garden

I would like some place with some character, not corporate feeling. Smaller establishments are preferred, too, but I am open to something larger if it’s really special. Quiet at night is a must.

I am in London currently and staying near the South Kensington station and while the neighborhood is lovely and close to the museums, it’s not to my preference for my return in a few weeks. I’d like somewhere that feels a bit more cozy and eclectic, if that makes sense. (Brompton Rd is a bit off putting)

Budget is up to 300 GBP per night. I’m considering staying in the west end since I will be arriving from and leaving via Heathrow but that is flexible for the right place.

A couple places I am considering:

- Hotel Xenia - corporate but doesn’t feel too much so; checks a lot of boxes; worried about it’s proximity to Cromwell Rd

- Aster House - probably booked up, but I’d love to hear anyone’s experience with it

Please recommend more! I’m a bit stumped and wondering if I am asking for too much or looking in the wrong places. Thank you!
