Help with front camera

Guys I feel like the front camera of my new iPhone 17 Pro Max is lowkey not good — I could even compare it to the one of my iPhone 13 mini, or maybe I was expecting it to just be way better. The photos don’t come out as sharp or qualitative, and just very soft as if they weren’t properly focused. Sometimes I tried to switch from HEIF to Raw just because I’ve heard that makes the photos look better, yet still no change? Maybe it’s a matter of lighting but I just don’t feel like using it much because I don’t like how the selfies come out.
Should I make some changes in settings? I did make some tweaked some of my camera settings following an instagram post on how to make the photos look better, but I’m not sure if that also applies to the front camera. Anyway these are my settings. What should I do?

So I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 16” with 16gb RAM, which is the last intel MacBook released – I think? It’s just fine currently running on Sonoma, however I find it a bit slow at times? I’m a light user tho, I only use the MacBook for keeping documents, browsing online, and watching on streaming platforms, plus a bit of screenwriting. I had updated to Tahoe, but after one month I had to downgrade and do the whole process to get a Sonoma version back.

I recently got myself an iPhone 17 Pro Max, the AirPods Pro 3, and a full size HomePod, which is making wanna get a new MacBook as well. However I don’t wanna go full price and get a MB pro or anything given than I don’t need such potent and expensive device yet, so I’m kinda tempted to get myself a MacBook Neo.

Would that switch be such a downgrade? I would trade in my MacBook Pro along with my iPhone 13 mini tho. I’ve watched so many reels and the Neo seems to run smoothly with the latest macOS which looks amazing with all those new features, but I’m not sure if it’s worth giving up some of the cool features that my MacBook Pro from 2019 has, like the Touch Bar (in intact state), the great speakers, and the screen size. I don’t know or understand much about the specs of both devices so I thought getting your opinions would help me make a decision on this.

Thank you!!! =‘D
