A Mall

Hey, so I'm not a really in depth fan of The Backrooms, but I think it's cool and am looking forward to the movie. But anyway, I was in town today to get some stuff done, and figured I'd see Project Hail Mary again since the theater experience for it is awesome. But I still had like an hour before the movie started and hung out at a nearby mall. It was dead empty. It reminded me the Backrooms because of how empty it was, and I though it would be cool to post it here, so here you go

When Does Louis Creed Snap? - Pet Sematary

So I'm reading Pet Sematary again, and for me at least, I think I finally pinpointed the moment that Louis' sanity seems to snap. I think it's right after he opens the coffin and sees that Gage's head is gone. Of course, it's covered in moss, but I think that's the moment that he reaches the point of no return. By that I mean that I think after this the Micmac Burying Grounds have very little to do with his actions, he is driven purely by his own grief and insanity now. Even if he knew how Gage was going to come back, or if he found out the Burying Grounds did absolutely nothing, I think he still would have gone through with it. It doesn't matter what would have happened at this point, seeing his son's head missing was the breaking point for him and I think he would have done anything to either bring him back or go be with Gage himself.

I hope I explained that well. But anyway, I'm curious about when other people think Louis' breaking point was in Pet Sematary. What do you guys think?

Art Slump

I am in such an art slump right now. This movie, Project Hail Mary, has been almost the only thing on my mind since I watched it, and I've been wanting to draw about it, but I've been so busy with work and graduation. Then when I get home at about 11pm, I'm too tired to work on it. Not to mention that I need colors! But I'm in the process of moving to a different city in a couple weeks, so I don't have the money for paint and markers and all that. It's just frustrating. This is all I've been able to get done in the last 5 days, but I guess some progress is better than no progress.

This was very last minute. Originally I wasn't going to do anything, but then I was listening to music on a bus and inspiration hit! I graduate in just a few days, and work after school every day until then, so I only had tonight and maybe some of tomorrow to decorate. But with my limited time I think I did good!

I just saw Project Hail Mary this Thursday, and I cannot stop thinking about it. It has quickly become one of my favorite movies of all time.

I drew Jack Torrance from Stanely Kubrick's adaptation of The Shining! I think it turned out decently

I just listened to the Jane the Killer episode! The first 30 minutes are just Isaiah and Nick trying to find a frog they lost while Hunter reads on without them. My favorite part!
