Hi All,

I don't have anything solidly in place yet since I am just reading up on things, but I've been a bit interested in importing skincare from eastern countries into Canada and then selling online (shopify or woocommerce) to Canada only. This is all just theoretical for the time being, but I am trying to understand everything that is needed from start to finish (Steps would also be generally similar if I decide to try this with another niche).

The general steps I have right now (not exhaustive, but just things that I consider more important and perhaps more difficult to do):

  1. Sign up for a sole proprietorship + get a business number + apply for tax remittance in different provinces where necessary (this step maybe can come later)
  2. Setup CARM + maybe customs broker with a bond
  3. Find suppliers
  4. Try to get approval to resell from a brand themself + do the cosmetics notification form (The only part about this is that I am not sure how difficult it would be to get the concentration range for the CNF since only they would have it? Even authorized distributors wouldn't probably? Also makes me wonder how all the stores that carry these products managed to do this or if they are just reselling without properly doing all of this)
  5. Setup the ecommerce side
  6. Other things that come after this

Has anyone done something like this or can anyone else see anything that I may be missing?

Does anyone know any activewear for men that doesn't look like you just went to the gym? I want something flexible, breathable and comfortable but also something that looks casual. By activewear, I think of the stereotypical product like adidas stuff. Anyone got anything different?
