Question for fictionkin plurals
Hello. To clarify before anyone asks, when plural pronouns are used in quotations it refers to the host talking about itself. If plural pronouns are used outside of quotations, it refers to the entire system. Now, the question.
“We” are a bit confused and for “our” sake, would like to ask if anyone has any help they could offer. “We” are the host, and “we” are fictionkin. However, one of “our” kintypes seems to have partially split. He is still, as far as “our” headmates have said, a part of the host, “us”. However he has thought independently of the host and does not feel like the same person as the host. We, as a system, are confused on what’s happening. Is he really just an altered state of “us” or is he just in the process of splitting off of “us”? As the host, “we’re” using plural pronouns in quotations as “we” don’t know if this is a new subsystem or just a temporary disturbance. Have any other fictionkin plurals experienced something like this, and if so, how did you go about figuring out what was happening? “Our” headmates don’t know, and it is worrying “us”.
Thank you for any information you can provide. This is not an attempt to force us into other plurals’ experiences, but instead a newly-realized disordered system looking for advice on a new and uncomfortable situation. -host?
