I recently bought this Spotlight Cam battery edition off of mercari for a steal, it was labeled as new and I when I received it seemed to be pretty much intact, as I was getting ready to mount out I noticed that there's a weird space between cam and the compartment that opens to reveal battery I fear that if I mount it rains the water might get into that compartment.

In the second picture you can see me pushing it closed. Any fixes or am I missing something?
