this is my first round of letrozole, and first cycle after a MC in february. CD1 was April 11, took 2.5 from CD3-7. Positive OPK CD13, ovulated CD14 or 15. CD16 started spotting (only noticeable when wiping), CD17 it got a bit heavier (staining my underwear) and CD18 I needed a pad/tampon. That flow continued until CD21 in the evening when it tapered down from bright/dark red blood to brown blood and no longer needed protection. Morning of CD22 all seemed clear, still some brown when I wiped. I had sex morning of CD22 and that opened the flood gates again, not as heavy as CD18-20 but still heavy enough to need something.

I would call this heavier than spotting for sure, but not quite a true period. There’s no cramping, no clotting and the flow seems to be inconsistent. My doctor doesn’t seem concerned despite my questions and only said “this can happen on letrozole cycles, just take a pregnancy test on CD28 and if negative you should get your period soon”

I had a progesterone blood test CD21, came back 16.5 so they confirmed I ovulated. I was wearing a pad when I got my blood test, so no idea how my progesterone could be so high with me bleeding like that. Friable cervix maybe?

I am SO confused as to why I’ve been bleeding for nearly the entire past week since I ovulated. I feel like it’s a waste of a cycle especially if they’re not trying to figure out if it’s a hormonal breakthrough bleed, a polyp or whatever. I have gotten no ultrasounds since the MC when they’re told me everything was clear from my uterus.

If I continue bleeding, how am I supposed to know when my CD1 is? Has anyone else had something like this happen to them on letrozole?
