Hey everyone, I'm joining the BSc Economics Mathematics Statistics/Econometrics Honours program at Christ Yeshwanthpur this year. I have a research background (published a few papers on behavioural economics) and I'm planning to go into analytics/econometrics work after graduation before a master's.
Would really appreciate honest answers from current or recent students:
- How quantitative does the program actually get, does econometrics go deep, and what software do they teach (R, Python, or just SPSS)?
- Yeshwanthpur vs Central, does it matter for BSc placements and internships specifically?
- What kind of companies/roles recruit BSc EMS students? Any research or analytics internships during the degree?
- Are faculty accessible for research guidance or is it mostly classroom-only?
- Anything you wish you'd known before joining?
Not looking for PR answers, genuinely trying to plan the next 3 years well. Thanks in advance.
