The latest episode of the podcast “What Went Wrong” (where they cover the making of various movies, one per episode) is about Temple of Doom. I listened to it today, and they talked about Ke Huy Quan’s relationship with Harrison Ford on set, including the fact that Ford taught him to swim.

This got me thinking — Teddy in DoD is of course a bit of an homage to Short Round (or, as some might put it, Temu Shorty). Does anyone know if the fact that Indy informally teaches Teddy to swim is a reference to this fact? Seems like it could be to me, but we have nowhere near the wealth of making-of info for DoD that we do for the prior four movies.
