Hey y’all, has anyone here purchased an FL5 Type R from CarMax? I never really considered this as an option, but dealers in my state are charging wild markups for new and used FL5s.
I’m considering low mileage ones and I’d love to hear anyone else’s experience!

As the title says, I'm currently in a 2023 WRX and have found myself in a position to get into one of my attainable dream cars, a FL5 Type R. I'm looking around at >10k mileage used or a new 2026 (if I can find a dealer at MSRP).
I test drove a 2024 model at CarMax and really enjoyed how special the car looks and feels on the inside and outside. Road noise from the tires is a bit more that I expected and the car I was in smelled like the previous owner vaped his brains out.
Are there things I should consider or be aware of while looking around? Looking forward to joining y'all soon.
