Today I stopped by my neighborhood Publix and picked up three items. The store was busy and I went to the express lane to checkout. The womanizer front of me had many more items in her cart than the express lane is designed for. In the past cashiers directed customers to other lanes. I have noticed in my past couple of visits cashiers were not enforcing the item limit. So, after checking out I went to the customer service desk and complained. The person manning the desk explained me the store had a new manager and employees were told not to enforce the item limit policy. I was polite and did not argue. I just will not go back to that store.

There is an Aldi across the street and Walmart Neighborhood market within two blocks. Both have self checkout lanes and lower prices.
