Stolen Identity??
Years ago I tried to open an account with them only to find out that all my info had already been used to create an account. The phone number used to open the account was mine but then updated over to whoever’s number opened it as well as the email. I have contacted affirm periodically over the past few years trying to understand why I cannot open an account with them only to learn that everytime that account still exist. I contacted them again back in 2022 and they assured me after months of back and forth that the account was locked and closed and would be I guess deleted. As it’s been 4 years since I decided to try to sign up for an account again only to ONCE AGAIN be informed that I already have an account through that same number and email that again isn’t mine and was proved to be another persons. For over 7 years I’ve had to pay for credit monitoring and constantly keep an eye on it and just overall be stressed out completely because I always know that account exist and this just proves it still does. What do I do?? I’m at my wits end and just tired of arguing with these people. Even after proving it was fraud 4 years ago it’s still saying it exist and won’t let me make my own account. Does affirm not delete or wipe fraudulent accounts? Do they just lie to people when it’s obvious their identity or credentials have been stolen and used by another? I’m severely disappointed as I thought I was finally does with this back in 2022. Any advice??
