I have recently got into the idea of crocheting shawls. I followed the Ana Lucia shawl pattern from Wilma Westenberg first, using 4 ply merino, acrylic mix yarn and a 4mm hook. The shawl, when finished, was not even really big enough to be one of those triangular front of the neck scarves. No photo, I'm afraid, because I was so disappointed with it that I undid it.
I am now using the same yarn to crochet the Legacy Shawl from Dina house of crafts. This is the pattern I originally intended to make anyway. This is also coming out very small. I am trying to keep my tension as loose as possible. But it is supposed to take 2 balls of the yarn and I still havent finished the first one and I'm nearly done.
I dont understand why I cant seem to make a full size shawl.
