best soundbar with subwoofer for a medium sized living room and clear dialogue?

Been trying to upgrade the audio setup in my apartment because the built in TV speakers are driving me nuts during movies and sports. I’ve already gone through a bunch of YouTube reviews and old Reddit threads but now I’m more confused than when I started.

Room is about 18x14, mostly using it for streaming movies, PS5, and music sometimes. I was originally looking at Samsung and JBL options but I keep seeing mixed opinions about dialogue clarity and whether the wireless subwoofers actually sound balanced. Anybody here using a setup they genuinely like long term? Trying to stay practical and avoid buying something that sounds great in reviews but disappointing at home. thanks

best soundbar with subwoofer that still sounds good at low volume?

My current setup sounds okay during loud scenes but whenever I lower the volume at night I can barely hear conversations anymore. I live with other people so I can’t really blast the TV late at night.

Anyone here find the best soundbar with subwoofer for quieter listening without losing dialogue clarity? Curious what models people actually enjoy using long term, thanks

my place is fine size wise but sometimes it just feels tight especially when everything is in view. are there simple changes that actually make it feel more open?
