Hi! I know jewelry isn’t allowed in passport photos, but I’m hoping to ask anyway. I have a nostril and a side labret piercing, both done in August 2025 (one week apart, with the labret first).
I tried replacing my side labret with a retainer, but it was too small to insert. When I removed the jewelry, it seemed like the hole shrank within a few minutes, though I was able to put it back with a bit of force. I’m having more difficulty with my nose stud since it’s curved, and I’m worried it might close if I remove it—especially since that piercing was the most painful to get.
My questions are:
-Can I wear transparent plastic retainers during the photo?
-If not, how long does the photo process usually take?
-Will I have enough time to remove the jewelry and put it back in before moving on to the next step?
