I love Mahiru as much as the next guy, but with 2x2 serving as an "alternate scenario" to DR2, I'm clueless as to why people are so hyped to see Mahiru as the protag. A Protag!Izuru / Protag!Nagito moment is RIGHT THERE, especially since the alternate route will very likely build on everything that we already know from regular DR2. Hell give me a Chiaki protag moment, that'd about a thousand times more interesting than Mahiru.

At best she would be a cool survivor and supporting character. But I fail to see why everyone's so excited to see her POV when she barely builds any connection with the rest of the DR2 cast during her run other than Hiyoko. She doesn't even get to do much at all other than be the voice of reason and be involved with the Twilight Syndrome murder case.

Of course I want her to survive this time around or at least last a lot longer, but there's SO many cooler concepts for a protagonist than Mahiru.
