What if Jujutsu Kaisen were written by Naruto mangaka Masashi Kishimoto?
A question I'm genuinely curious about is:
Would the work have been more popular? Would it have been better written? Would it have been something completely different? How would the character interactions and the weight of the events have been conveyed? Or I wonder what would be different.
My opinion is that we would have watched something more cliché, without subverting shounen tropes too much, and therefore it would have been relatively less popular. However, we wouldn't have seen the perceived shortcomings of JJK, such as the character interactions, the overly fast-paced plots, and the world-building, but instead of the harsh, realistic world Gege created, we would have watched something more dreamer idealistic.
How would Naoya’s dynamics be with the psychic sisters? What would he think of Fubuki? And how would he view Tatsumaki?
Would he be attracted to Fubuki, or would he get annoyed because she’s the leader of a mafia-like group? Would he make fun of Tatsumaki for her height and small-feminine build?
What do you think? A terrible father, someone who hasn't learned from his mistakes, someone who boasts about his actions to a certain extent and doesn't realize it, but also keeping his son's trophy in his house... For Butcher, It might be understandable or justifiable, but going after someone far weaker, defenseless than yourself and killing them out of a desire for vengeance is an immoral act for me.
I'm also curious to hear your thoughts.
Even though my account isn't spam, sometimes my upvotes and comments don't get sent. I'd especially like to try this out here if there's someone willing to volunteer. When a comment thread I'm having with someone gets long, my 2nd or 3rd reply doesn't go through. For example, I reply to someone's comment, it's sent, but when they reply to me and I reply to them again, my second reply doesn't show up. Can I try with someone from here?
Jujutsu Kaisen or Naruto? I'm including Modulo too in this because we're not fully seeing the change in OG JJK either.
Both series criticize cycles of abuse, child soldiers, and oppressive, tradition-obsessed higher-ups and they try to offer solutions to these problems.
In your opinion, which series handles these changes and solutions more effectively?
