I’m looking for the best tv under 1000 because my current one is getting pretty washed out and struggles with dark scenes. I mainly use it for movies and some console gaming, so I care more about picture quality and motion than extra smart features.

Is the best tv under 1000 usually better if I stay around a smaller size for better contrast, or do larger screens still hold up well at that price?
