I've got a Novella in the works at the moment and was wondering if I'm doing a good job with the blurb so far.

Here's what I got:

Andrew's father was taken from him by a Dragon when he was twelve.

Twelve years later, he returns home to his hometown of Knight's Hallow after dropping out of college. He has spent years convincing himself that what he saw wasn't real, yet when a young couple is attacked at a local make-out point, Andrew quickly learns that his childhood fantasy was more real than he could ever imagine.

I like it, but something feels off. Maybe it's because I don't fully establish the main premise of the series, although that's on purpose as saying what he discovers would spoil some of the bigger revelations.

I do manage to establish Dragons in the modern day (something I don't see very often), although Idk if it was clear that this takes place in mordern day.

Thoughts?

I have a novella in the works right now, and want to do a print version for it, but I have no idea how to format one.

What is the size that I need? How do I work in the front and back cover? Does the cover need specific sizes regarding the spine because it's such a small book?

I formatted a short story in the past, but that was a little easier considering it was Ebook only

I am very unfamiliar with this part of the process, and would really appreciate some help😅

I'm entering the second of three major arcs for my story, and I was thinking about taking a break after Chapter 24 drops.

I release two chapters every weekend, and feel I've been growing pretty well (although releasing during a Writathon might not have been my best move😅)

I want to avoid burnout, so I was thinking about taking a small break after Chapter 24, maybe give a few bonus chapters while I'm at it.

Yesterday I was going to submit my story, however once I did all the steps, and hit Finish, I was put on a loading screen for five minutes. I refreshed the page, and tried again, but the issue persisted.

I don't know if others are having this issue, but I am using Google Chrome.
