2005 Nissan Sentra Struggling to go Uphill
I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8l automatic with 118,000 miles. Recently I noticed it’s suddenly struggled at random times to maintain speed when going uphill or if I just ascended for a period and want to speed up when I reach the top of a hill. It seems to be at random times though, so it’s hard to diagnose. There hasn’t been a check engine light that’s popped up and I took it to a mechanic but he wasn’t able to find any issues. When it struggles it almost feels like the pedal isn’t responding and I’m pushing it to the floor and I’m not getting any speed and I’m basically stuck in my current speed until I can suddenly get a response from my pedal. I changed the spark plugs and ignition coils about 5k miles ago and I’ve kept up with more routine maintenance. Would appreciate some general advice on how to diagnose or potentially fix.
