Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is going to mediocre, but not for the reason people think.
So it's that time of the year again, new movie, new political divide.
Everyone is already jumping on the casting choices and deciding whether this is going to be woke or not.
I can already tell you it's going to be mediocre. It's not going to be bad, and it's not going to be great.
Here's why;
Christopher Nolan is at that point in his career where everyone is kissing his ass. All that man hears is how great he is. Since he made some genuinely great movies in the past, everyone that meets him now constantly praises him.
It's similar to how George Lucas was able to make Star Wars great when he actually got told "no", but made the Phantom Menace when he was given "full creative control".
Just looking at the trailer I can tell no one told Christopher Nolan "no" this time.
Just listen to his reasoning for why he hired Travis Scott lol
Like this guy is clearly currently surrounded by Yesmen who are telling him everything he says is pure gold.
Now i genuinely recocgnize the man has talent, and so I don't think the movie is going to be horrible.
However I also don't think the movie will be great. I think it's going to be forgettable like Tenet.
