any wampus suggestions that wont break the bank?

hi, i am looking to get a place next semester in wamus and am looking for any suggestions that arent too expensive. i'd like somewhere walking distance from campus and under 1200 if possible. all that i need is somewhere where i can have my own room and bathroom and not a co-op. i am not looking to take over someone's place, so please do not advertise. any suggestions are appreciated, thank you!

is it too late to question/dispute a final grade once it’s already showing on the registrar website? this was a ta-taught course and i already emailed the ta a few days ago but haven’t heard back yet.

i’m not even necessarily trying to argue for points, i mostly just wanted to better understand the grading on the final exam because the score was lower than i expected. is there still a process for this after grades are officially posted, or is it basically done at that point?

also, in ta-taught courses, can the ta even still do anything about the grade after submission, or would any actual grade change have to go through the professor?

i’m planning on trying to add business as a second major at ut sometime around spring 2027.

right now i’m trying to decide whether taking 2 summer classes at ut is worth it or not for the boost to my ut gpa.

either way, i’m going to take the 2 econ prerequisite classes this summer. the difference is that if i take them at a community college instead of ut, i’d receive a much larger financial aid refund at the expense of the likely A grades not counting towards my ut gpa, since they would be out of residence.

if i do not take the summer classes at ut, and then get a 4.0 in the fall, i’ll end up with about a 3.7925 UT GPA and get around a $2600 financial aid refund.

if i do take the summer classes at ut and get all A’s in them plus a 4.0 in the fall, i’ll end up with about a 3.834 UT GPA, but my refund would only be around $400.

so basically i’d be giving up about $2200 for roughly a 0.04 GPA increase.

for people familiar with ut business/internal major applications, does that jump from a 3.79 to a 3.83 actually help much in practice, or would you probably save the money and stick with the 3.79?

for context, this would be adding business as a second major, not changing my primary major. any input helps, thank you.

hi,

this is my first semester at ut. i am a current cns student, and i just finished my first semester here with a 3.5 (9 hours A and 3 hours C). i was planning to try to add business as simultaneous major, but im not sure if ill be able to do so anymore. i am going to be taking 2 summer classes which are easy A's, but i wont be taking them at ut so it dont help inflate my 3.5 ut gpa. im also going to be taking 12 hours next semester. if i get all A's i will have a 3.75 gpa and i dont know if that is good enough. if anyone has any insight or opinions, i'd love to hear them. do you think im screwed?

hello, i am going to try my best to add on mccombs as a 2nd major for spring 2027. i will have 12 credits done in residence after this semester (i am a transfer student), and i a 3.75 ut gpa. for anyone out there who successfully swapped their major into something within mccombs, or was accepted to add something in mccombs on as a second major, what was your gpa? any advice? i am worried about my gpa, i am going to take 12 credits next semester and if i get all A's in them, i will have a 3.875 gpa but idk if that is good enough, i've heard it is super competitive.

hi everyone,

i used to be on this sub extremely frequently, when i was a transfer applicant applying to ut. i transferred into ut cns this spring from another university. i know that the transfer process can be hard to navigate, and very stressful. i originally applied as a transfer for admission in both fall 2025, but i was rejected. tried again for spring 26, and was accepted. if anyone has any questions about the process, or anything at all, feel free to comment on this and i will try my best to answer any questions about anything the best that i can.
