"Finnish people have the rights to apply their mother tongue in public contexts, including when dealing with authorities and courts. It is specifically stipulated that the right to use one’s own mother tongue does not depend on the individual’s level of proficiency in the majority language. Authorities are required to ensure that staff with knowledge of Finnish are employed. In addition. Finnish people living within a Finnish administrative area have the right to receive both elderly care and preschool services in Finnish" (this part is important!).

If you have relatives living in any of these municipalities, please tell them to claim their legal rights. And also please, check up on your elder relatives that everything is okay, as currently Sweden have a wave of where third world migrants working in home care / nursing homes have shown different cases of aggression and hostility towards elderly people:

In recent times, several cases of abuse and rape have been uncovered within home care services in different parts of the country.".
