The inhumane way kpop fans view Korea is scary

I scrolled through TikTok and saw a KBS news report about a really devasting case which a highschool girl were murdered in her way home from school, the report was of course in Korean so it's understandable to not understand, but from the video you could see a man getting arrested, so it was easy to understand the situation was serious and not a joke, but when I opened the comments to get more information, they were full of kpop fans joking about not understanding Korean in a really disrespectful way, and even when someone explained some people kept going joking about it

and it's not the first time kpop fans acted like that, in 2024 with the Jeju Air flight crash which led to a few festivals to get cancelled kpop fans complained about that, it's like kpop fans view Korea as entertainment and not more, where it's a country of people who face tragedies that have nothing to do with the music you consume.

Kpop fans need to stop involving kpop idols in their fanwars

Yesterday, winter from aespa and iroha from Illit did a TikTok challenge together, it was really cute seeing them interact and the challenge was great, but some fans were angry because aespa suppose in their opinion to be on newjeans side and hate hybe, which mean they can't love Illit or be around them, even if it a TikTok challenge that was probably arranged by their managers.

the same is how army and blinks react every time they see the members around each other, trying to find excuses and reasons to act like those people were forced.

idols don't care about your imaginary feuds, they know each other better than you ever be, they decide who to befriend and interact and the fact you as a fan have hate boner towards the other group doesn't mean the idol is as hateful as you, it's parasocial at it's finest.

Wanted to share it cause army answer was fantastic, but it still annoys me how we are treated differently cause we are a female dominant fandom

People lost the plot when it comes to hybe groups

It's like those groups have no right to defend themselves, today a very vile YouTuber won a civil lawsuit against hybe, basically on the ground of hybe inability to prove his allegations caused them a money lose, this YouTuber is responsible for a lot of the hate illit and Le sserafim got in 2024, the cult allegations, and also bringing back BTS saejegi allegations even though it was proven false in court already.

And kpop fans celebrate it cause it's hybe and apparently prove that all those allegations are true, mind you this person is reasonable for making 2024 hell on earth to Le sserafim, destroyed illit debut year, and even RM talked about the affects that smear campaign had on him while serving in the military, but they celebrate it cause they can't see those idols as humans, only the company behind them, if it was any other idols losing this kind of lawsuit people would have angry, but it's like hybe idols hate worth nothing.

More so Illit through belift announced they are joining a legal lawsuit against same YouTuber, and people attack them calling them selfish and awful for sueing someone who literally tried to destroy their career, those people claim they sell their souls to the big bad comparations for that, I saw no one saying that when sm for example sued seajong, as it should be, but hybe idols apparently have no right to defend themselves anymore.

Edit: stop giving reasons why people don't like hybe, that's not the point, the point is the hate idols are facing in the name of hating the company, and those reasons don't matter

They'll tell you it's just the music, but they just act like SM never crave some validation when boa was the first idol to release an English album and superm happened

In le sserafim debut film, Yunjin said she wants to change the idol industry, something I can agree was a bit cringe to say as a rookie with no background of being an idol, but with what I believe are good intentions, and she got attacked like crazy calling her prideful and saying she is very full of herself thinking she can make changes, but the point is she never said she is changing but that she wants to change and change is not 180° in one day it's a small step at a time

But the problem is that even if she wants to make a difference, K-pop fans don't want to let her make changes. Everything she does is labeled as performative, her talking about LGBTQ is performative, her saying to fans to love the way they look, performative, her talking about the hardships of being an idol, performative, her talking about the affects an insane hate train had on her and her members, performative,

she can't try to change anything, even things that are very important like talking about tge affect the hate trains had on them cause kpop fans need to understand how hard those hate trains are for the idols, without it starting another hate train calling her attention seeker and miserable.

It just looks like K-pop fans love talking about the industry being toxic but don't want it to be changed at all, and it good for them like that
