Pedas tip - Dealing with spicy food or chili on your skin. Share you tip.

If you’ve eaten something way too spicy, try putting an ice cube in your mouth and "gargling" the cold water for a few minutes. It helps numb the heat much faster than drinking room-temperature water.

Also, if you’ve been cutting chilies and your hands or face start to feel the burn, try rubbing a little bit of cooking oil on the affected area. The oil helps dissolve the capsaicin (the spicy chemical) and reduces the pain significantly within a few minutes.

Anyone else have an unexplainable (ghost) story?

When I was around nine years old, I stayed at my grandmother’s house for a couple of months. It was a large, old house located deep inside a calamansi orchard. It was very isolated, and because it was so quiet, you could hear a car or motorcycle coming from miles away.

One afternoon, my family was in the living room watching TV and eating bubur kacang. I went into the kitchen, which was an open area with no walls, to get another bowl. While I was there, I clearly saw a man standing outside wearing a white shirt.

I went back inside and told my uncle there was someone outside. He went to check immediately, but the yard was completely empty. When I described the man and his white shirt, my family went silent. They told me I had just described my other uncle, who had passed away only a few months prior.

I suddenly felt so scared. I can't remember exactly what I said or did after that, but I just remember that intense feeling of fear. Even today, I don't really believe in ghosts, but I still can't explain what I saw. Every detail is still clear in my memory. Does anyone else have stories like this?
