1. Check if your head unit switches to reverse mode when you shift into reverse gear, even without camera video feed.

If it doesn’t switch over, verify the reverse trigger wire is properly connected to the camera trigger lead.

Skip this step if you’re using a direct plug-and-play OEM fit unit.

If wired correctly but still no mode switch, test if the camera trigger wire gets a steady 12V DC when in reverse.

If 12V is present but no reverse mode, just enable the reverse input option in factory settings.

2. If the head unit switches to reverse mode but shows no video,

double-check the camera video output is securely plugged into the head unit’s reverse video input port.

Also confirm the camera power wires are correctly connected to your reverse light positive and negative terminals.

3. Test your reverse camera with the engine turned off first.

If the image works fine with the engine off but glitches or cuts out once you start the engine,

it’s caused by unstable voltage to the camera.

Install a voltage stabilizer relay on the camera wiring harness, and this issue will be fixed for good.

• Double-check your audio output and ensure it is set to your car Bluetooth device during Bluetooth calls.
• Make sure the built-in MIC hole on the car head unit is not blocked by dust, dirt or any debris, which may cause Bluetooth mic audio issues.
• Plug in the external microphone that comes with your Eonon head unit, then test Bluetooth calling again to check if the sound works normally.
• Perform a full factory reset on your car stereo head unit, restart your smartphone, then unpair and re-pair the Bluetooth connection to fix Bluetooth pairing and call glitches.
• If you have another spare phone available, test Bluetooth calls with it to rule out mobile phone compatibility problems.

Need some help with reverse camera.

It works totally fine when the engine’s off, but as soon as I fire up the engine, the camera feed glitches out, messes up, or even goes completely black.

Already double-checked I’m definitely in reverse mode, so that’s not the problem.
