I played through Nioh 2 recently with the Axe as my only weapon. (using the second weapon slot for the Kintaro set bonus) and absolutely steam rolled NG, DLC, and most of NG+.

I haven't started the underworld yet, but so far most bosses have been first attempts with the strategy of buff up, quickswap, and burden/lifesteal the boss; then beat face.

Does this ever stop working? I used the same strategy when I played 3, but have found much more success with it in 2. It can get messy when I get jumped but it rarely gets out of control and I maintain full health without needing to dodge.
