Both of us work the same hours, however everyday, I'm the one who cooks, cleans, iron clothes, remove clutter from the bed/coffee table.
It's not that she doesn't do anything, once a week she launders clothes (sometimes twice, but sometimes I also do it). I'm the one who wakes up early every morning, just to put on hot water for her to bathe. Also, we live in a town where it is not culturally accepted to have cleaners for home, so there's jo chance I'll be able to hire a cleaner.
One day I decided that I'll seek help from her, I said that I get tired and I'm not able to do things on a daily basis alone, so please help me by sharing the responsibilities of keeping the house in order. She got all defensive, then I pointed out that how she leaves her fallen hair on the floor/sink after brushing it, how she never throws away the left over food in the dustbin, and just keep it in the plate, on the counter.
That day she listened to me, got sad but did not say much, however after 2-3days she's touching the topic again and saying that I targeted her and insulted her and now she is feeling stupid because of me.
We are about to get married in a few months, don't want to leave her, as I love her a lot, what should I do? Am I actually an asshole for requesting her to help me out?
