Eff it we ball

So I'm kind of late to all of this intern stuff, but I think that working in D.C. would be really cool. I found about all of this last Friday. So I looked up my local rep. and submitted an application for his D.C. legislative internship just to call his office a day later to find out that there weren't any spots left. I wasn't going to take that for an answer, however. I called around and eventually got in contact with the man, a member of his staff that deals with internships, who told me that I was a good candidate for a campaign-side internship. Again, though, I'm not really interested in doing something that I didn't originally want to do for zero pay.

So I did some digging and found an event my rep will be at this Saturday at a Golden Corral, no less. I've made business cards and did a deep dive into his interests, policy, past interns, and personality. I plan on walking up to this dude and just spitting game. If I pull this off, it would be legendary dad lore. Wish me luck.
