This amazing Dell display U5226KW has no Remote Control and no Linux utility for changing input or brightness/contrast with a software. So you will have to reach out to the joystick which is quite far to reach!
So I made this small tool that sits in gnome system Tray and can be used to change the input, and brightness/contrast.

It is open source, you can compile, also a debian package included in the release.
