Auto decompressor spring
Hey, so, does anyone know how to install the auto decompressor spring on an exc-f 350 2015 or FE 350 2016?
I was not able to start the bike (it's an FE) and after messing around with the valve cover I was able to get it to start (among a bunch other things) but right now there is good spark, the injector is working fine and delivering fuel, but the compression is very weird. So I pulled off the exhaust camshaft to check the spring and realized that it's extremely weak and the auto decompressor was being toggled by the angle of the camshaft alone instead of being engaged until spun fast enough, plus the spring seems to be out of position, or so I think since I have no reference to how it should go.
I tried checking out multiple service manuals but they only point out to replace the whole camshaft if the autodecompresor is not working, but that is BS since they do sell the spring by its own.
Any advice? Right now I know where the leg with the 90° angle goes, but where does the other leg go, does it just rest against the camshaft without any slot or anything?
