Finally got my first bike! 2001 KTM 400 EXC
What are some things I should be on the lookout for maintenance wise?

What are some things I should be on the lookout for maintenance wise?
Just want to explore some good garages that can service my ktm 390 adv bike which are trust worthy in Bangalore.
None of the videos Ive seen show this extra service menu. I assume I have to take it to a dealer but I'd rather not pay $50 or more shop time for a light that Im supposed to be able to reset myself
Sup guys, just wanted to know if there's any footbrake pedal from a KTM that would fit my svart from 2022. I've done a gpt search and think I got misleaded cuz based on the photos I've seen it seems that (visually at least) it won't fit. The svart footbrake has a slight curve towards the outside. So if any of you could help, or know any that would fit it would help a lot.
Ps: I know that I should order the original part from husky but it has that screw in the middle of the pedal and it will brake again knowing that I use it a lot out of it's environment. I climb mountains and stuff.
Thanks in advance
Hi everyone,
I’d like to ask the community if, on a KTM Duke 790, it is actually possible to replace only the TFT dashboard cover/housing, or if in cases like this the only real solution is buying a new TFT unit.
I tried replacing the cover with an aftermarket one bought from AliExpress, but after installing it I started having problems with the warning lights. They looked like they were not receiving enough power and were behaving strangely.
I then removed the replacement cover, cleaned the board/contact area with an anti-oxidation electrical cleaner, and now the warning lights are working correctly again.
So now I’m wondering:
This is the kind of part I mean:

Any experience or advice would be really appreciated.
Recently took the carb off and when i put it back on this happened.
I just installed the NOCO NPL 14 into my bike and realized the negative side post is in a different spot, not allowing you to bolt right up to it without bend the negative side cable, any thoughts?
I have a Husqvarna svartpilen 401 2023 , i have been running it for nearly 2 years now only 4k miles installed a Fuelx lite on it when I got it , and did the resonator delete , into a slip-on with a baffle, bike was running right no stalling issues or anything.
suddenly it started having a rough idle and something cuts out , last night coming to work it threw a yellow check engine light and runs very rough around 4-5k rpm , I got home put and one reader on it and it says missfire cylinder 1 .
any suggestions what I can check thanks
I’ve got a 2016 690 Duke. A previous owner de-catted it. I’m trying to figure out if they tuned it, and if so, how and who… but I can’t find the ECU, and no matter how much I google it, I can’t find an answer.
Before I start disassembling the bike snout to tail… anyone got any words of wisdom?
Ideally, “yeah, it’s right here, just unclick this and it pops right out”… 😂
I went to the dealership today after I accidentally scraped up and banged up my bike pretty good. The service clerk pressured me to use my insurance. What should I expect? Should I cancel the claim. WTH? Never had an accident before. Worried about my rates obviously jumping sky high as if they weren’t already high enough.
. Service clerk said he wanted to get the bike “like brand new”. I let pressure get the best of me and contacted my insurance and opening a claim. Now I’m contemplating canceling and just going out of pocket. Any words will help. Giant hole in my heart right now. Nothing majorly damaged I was able to ride back home. Thank you for your comments. Please be gentle with me.
I wore my gear! I am ok. Soar legs.
Really don’t want get into the electric harness (white x) and fuck up putting it back together , but I am pretty good at soldering can I cut at the red lines and just solder the wires back together?
