Hey all,

I’m on Deaverview rd uphill from Pisgah view. Pretty consistently over the past few weeks I’ve been snapping awake between midnight and 6am as unmuffled motorcycles zip up my road throttle wide open. The primary perpetrator is a gentleman who lives in a camper on one of the crackhead outposts up the street from me. I’ve already had a word with him in the most neighborly and diplomatic way possible, which to his credit, did result in some reduction in the noise after hours. However, there are definitely a few others doing the same thing, and I’m not sure who they are, or where they’re coming from. My questions for the community are as follows: If you live over my way, and you are experiencing the same thing, would you like to join forces to address the issue? If you live elsewhere and have had a similar problem, what approach proved successful in addressing it? I have already spoken with the sheriffs department. My plan A, per their advice, is to notify them next time it’s happening early on enough for them to send out a patrol unit to lurk and intercept. I really try to stay out of other people’s business and not be an HOA Karen about things, but the disruption to my sleep is becoming an untenable quality of life issue. Yes I know I’m living in a geographical socio economic pocket where stuff like this is the norm. This is where I can afford to live. Any constructive input from the community would be appreciated.
