Boyfriend has BB

My boyfriend went on a trip two weeks ago, came back last week and slept just one night at my apartment. He had his school bag, which I kept on the floor, and we slept in our underwear.
I was also at his place for a couple hours a few days ago, and I laid on his bed briefly
He noticed a weird itchy rash in the next 2 days, and the doctor told him it might be BB. He checked his mattress and lo and behold, he found one as well as tiny black dots on his mattress topper. I checked my mattress, mattress protector, and sheets, a couple times since his doctor initially suspected and I haven’t found anything but I know these fuckers are sneaky. We also don’t know for sure how long he’s had them, or if he picked them up from this trip. I guess since he reacted pretty severely to the bites, he must have, right?
So I guess I want to ask how high is my risk? I know I’ve been exposed but I can’t really afford to hire someone or buy insecticides right now. Is there anything I can do right now except for drying and washing my sheets on high, most of my clothes, vacuuming, steaming mattress and couch?

I'm a graduate student in EE with 1.5 years US work experience at a startup between college and grad school. My concentration is analog/mixed-signal IC design. I've applied to maybe 150 postings so far and I haven't had not one single interview. It is beyond anything I've experienced.

I've job hunted for a while between losing my last job and starting grad school and it was much easier to get interviews.

Granted, I am an international student and I wasn't able to begin my search until March because of visa complications. But this cycle, I have yet to hear back from anyone. I've cold outreached, warm outreached, written cover letters, revamped my resume 1001 times. The roles I'm applying to don't even get as many applications as SWE, for example - maybe 200 based on LinkedIn data.

I just don't know what hiring managers or recruiters want anymore. Is it just because I'm not a citizen? Have any int'l students experienced difficulties like this?

I know it's basically over this cycle, but it went so much worse than I expected, and the bar was already in hell.
