How to know if running shoes fit?

I am having absolute fits trying to develop a new running shoe rotation after my first marathon. Some context: ran first marathon in 4:15 in november, didnt run for many months after that due to hip impingement. I ran in 10 wide's novablasts. However in returning to running I am having a hard time identifying my fit. Fleet feet scan attached. Have been advised I am a wide by one employee then several others in return-visits have said no i don't fit the criteria. the sticking point is the outside of my right foot right below my pinky toe. I do not have metatarsalgia or a bunion, but am feeling pressure in most standard fits that made me believe i would develop a hotspot. I just tried my novablasts on again, and do actually feel the same sensation on right foot, so don't know if I am simply more hyper aware of it or not now that I am a shoe geek. So far i have bought and returned megablasts, evo sl, glycerin max 2, vomero plus, 1080 v15 wide. I currently have rebel v5's sized up half a size, but am thinking about going back to a 10 as the length is too much.

can somebody please tell me i am just too in my head and this contact point is normal? I went on a run in the rebel's and after taking socks off there looks like minor redness but nothing huge. I am just worried about comitting to a shoe and finding out i cant make it 5 miles in it. pictures attached for points of contact in both my shoes. left shoe fits perfectly.

at this point im wondering if im just dumb and don't know what a good fitting shoe feels like and might have to go back to store and try on all those options again if the outside right foot upper contact is just something i have to live with.
