Community Opinions for Hosting Casual Tourney

Hi, I'm planning on hosting a get-together over the weekend for my co-workers. We're all (mostly) nerds/geeks from I.T. and they were open to the idea of trying an informal/casual tournament-style game night for something they've never played (this one).

I was debating on leaving the control schemes on "Smart". Since none of them have really played traditional fighting games before, I wanted to expedite the learning/experimenting phase so they can just jump right in and focus more on strategy (I'd still give a basic run-down). What does everyone think? This post is just my being curious on people's general opinions.

Yeah, I know this game is easier compared to other FG titles, but some of the participants have only ever played cozy games, which there is nothing wrong with that.

Feel free to flame me if this very post is stupid haha.
