Blind Granblue Fantasy Versus Strength in Lore Tierlist

Blind Granblue Fantasy Versus Strength in Lore Tierlist

Never played the gacha and I don't know none of the lore but after trying the game out for a little while this is where I'd rank em, based off design, personality, and some round start interactions. Wondering how this looks to real ball-knowers.

Need a character with bad defense

I’m starting to really notice my over reliance on bc and reversals on defense, so I want to pick up a character that struggles on defense to force myself to get better at it. I’m fine with anyone except Nier.

Should I start playing

I’m new to fighting games I started with sf6 and don’t get me wrong it’s a great game but the characters just got soooo boring to play after like a week and not even cause I’m bad (I am) it just got boring to look at. I’ve seen a lot of GBVSR gameplay and it looks soo cool, I’m not afraid of the learning curve of fighting games i just want to know honestly is this game worth investing a lot of time in it, meaning is it still fairly active, will it stay active (no one knows the future but yknkw what I mean) and how difficult will the game be for newcomers

Smart Controls

So, I have a question. First some background. I have a disability that makes fine motor control very hard, but I love fighting games. I was never able to give them a good shot until Modern in street fighter 6 came about to help me with combos.

This game has always seemed interesting to me, but I've never been able to get into it because I just can't execute the combos. Even something as simple as 66L - c.M is incredibly unreliable for me. I can get it occasionally in training, but not nearly often enough to use in match.

I can do some stuff - like a simple triple attack into H special into another triple attack into another special - on some characters, but that's pretty much my ceiling.

I recently heard about smart controls being added to this game, and have looked into them some. It's the auto combo system of my dreams, where basically every confirm is automated and it does combos based on the situation instead of just a static combo. The downsides are real, but tolerable.

One of my problems with modern in street fighter is it's clearly built with the assumption that you will be doing some stuff - even a lot of stuff, depending on the character - using manual inputs. Granblue is better in this respect in some ways due to universal simple input specials, but worse in others (like the importance of 66L - c.M).

My question is this: do you think smart controls are balanced enough to let me play at a high-ish level (maybe master) without using manual combos at all? Also, am I likely to get a lot of hate and derision for using smart controls, like with modern in street fighter 6?

New player looking for character recommendation

Hey all! Game seems pretty fun so far, I’ve messed around a bit with a couple characters but haven’t found one that quite clicks yet. I also don’t have any of the dlc chars so was wondering if there may be one that I would like before I drop $ on anyone.

I like “hybrid zoners” I guess? I like having big buttons and the ability to box people out, but I also like being able to run mix even if that’s just spicy strike / throw with a command grab or something. Don’t want to be “locked in” to zoning. Also appreciate having “traps” or some sort of interactable I put on the screen, but not a deal breaker.

I play venom in ggst, gordeau in uni, and aki in street fighter if that helps. Also I like having things to lab so a med-high complexity character would be cool but also not a dealbreaker.

First character to master !!!

Man what a ride this character is. She is very fun but extremely weak to agressive players/characters. I do not plan to main her nor play her in master as this masters run was a only a personal challenge to tell myself: "I can get this far with a character that is polar opposite to my playstyle". I do plan to main Meg as my definite main until Aliza gets announced (the copium is extremely high).

Got my first character to Master after not playing for almost two years :)

I bought this game just to play 2B and I had stopped for some time due to life being in the way. I recently reinstalled and saw I was at S+ rank, so the last four days I’ve been training and it’s paid off. I’m thinking Vera next, but I have the first set of season pass characters so who knows :)

Can I play Versus (&Relink) as an Anime only?

I wanted to play Versus Rising (only Storymode) and then Relink. I only watched S1&S2 of the anime. Is that enough? I really dont have the time and patience for another gacha right now, maybe in the future...😅

Charlotta

My friend who mostly plays Beelzebub and Eustace, by the way, is trying to convince me that Charlotta is some top-tier monster just because he can’t beat my Charlotta.

I’m not claiming to be some pro player, but I’ve been playing Rising on and off since launch, and I actually spent time learning the character to what I'd say is a basic level. From my experience, Charlotta really isn’t that strong right now, if anything, I wish she’d get buffed so she could keep up with the rest of the cast a little better.

But every time I say that, he acts like I’m insane and accuses me of downplaying her, while also insisting Eustace is terrible. At this point I genuinely feel like I’m losing my mind.

I'm not saying Char is the worst but she's not great either.

How do you play sandalphon

He has a lot of options and attacks but he barely does anything

He has great anti air lots of projectiles and a cool stance that unlock more attacks but each one of them are mediocre and easy to dodge or block

You need to be super precise because much of his attacks leave you open and you need to do to put so much effort in neutral and combos that does barely the same if not less damage that other easy characters like lancelot or charlotta

overall this character has all, he can do a lot of thing but excells at nothing, i've been playing him because i like it's design but i don't see why play him over other characters

I had to watch it back a couple of times to see what happened.

Eustace 214M > U has invincible startup. I got counter hit but the projectile doesn't disappear.

Meg got counter hit 1 frame after, instantly ending the Sharknado and physics send Eustace.
